Danny Michel might be Canada's own Jack Johnson. Generally mellow and drawing on influence from Paul Simon, he's got some catchy tunes, but I think he's capable of rocking out even more eventually

Why should I care?

Music reflects the temperament of the people. It is journalism, it is emotion, sometimes it is just sound. How did we arrive at today's sound and what is it that people love listening to? All sound has originated from noise, and there will always be music that people will consider unacceptable that will become a standard in 50 years.
Yet there are underlying aspects to music that come up again and again in different forms. Sometimes we extract something powerful from the reflection of a band or person, influencing a demographic, a nation, a generation, or even the entire world on ideas conveyed through something both as simple and as powerful as a song. The history of music is as important as the history of events.
